Every second year conservation Awards are presented to worthy nominations in each of four different categories 

· Large Scheme – this would cover extensive works
to an existing house, perhaps
with a modest sympathetic extension

· Small Scheme – this would cover
situations where perhaps only one or two
elements of the building were involved
in sensitive works eg roof, windows,
repairs to distinctive detailing, etc

· New Build – this covers new
construction where the design and choice of
materials are sympathetic to
the area

 · Landscape – mature gardens and trees
are critical elements  of the character of Bangor
West and this category covers  sympathetic garden
and landscape developments
